خارطة الحب

"But believe me, dear, sweet Anna, you would not find me arrogant or proud or impatient if I could truly call myself yours." - The Map of Love by Ahdaf Souief, p. 250

Tell me, isn't this line completely bewitching?

I still have a long way to go in the book, but I think the best remedy for a cold is to read something that would snap you out of it, oui? Or at least, make you forget that you're nose has tripled in size (and function).

xoxo

That's beautiful. :')

You've convinced me, I've already hit the Amazon button.

By any chance have you read "A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khalid Hosseni?
I don't know why but something about that line made me think back on it somehow.

I'm so sorry for the late reply! I never saw your comment before today.

Yes, I've read that book :) (Liked it, but loved The Kite Runner more)..what part of Suns did the quote remind you of?

I apologize for the late reply, I cannot recall an exact quote, but its the tender simplicity in those words, it seems obvious to be said in the readers eyes, but when you really look into it, it is such a genius of form, I'm currently reading this book thanks to your review, Still in the beginning and a bit dazed at the come and go of past and present, but I'm sure I will get the hang of it...Its such a wondrous tale to be sure! :)

It's a great book, I wanted to review it after I was done but was just speechless. I think I may just have to read it again to let it sink in completely.
